Final draw EUROPEADA 2024

Today at Sydbank Park in Haderslev (Denmark) the groups for the basic round were drawn. The teams from South Tyrol were represented by Peter Unteregelsbacher and Martin Unterholzner (South Tyrol), as well as Giorgio Costabiei and Hanspeter Graffonara (Ladins). 

27 teams entered the men's tournament, divided into seven groups, one of which consisted of three teams, all others of four. 

South Tyrol men were drawn from pot 1 of group E, followed in turn by Ils Rumantsch (Rhaeto-Romans from Switzerland), Team Nordschleswig - AE Mannschaft (German minority in Denmark) and Crimea (Crimean Tatars from Ukraine). The venues are Sønderborg, Tønder and Aabenraa (all three are in Denmark).

The men's team from I Ladins were placed in Group C from Pot 2 with Sydslesvig (Danes in Germany), and the group is completed by Armanamea (Aromanians from Romania) and Pobeda (Bulgarian minority in Romania). The group matches will be played in Schleswig, Flensburg DGF and Flensburg Stjernen (all three are located in Germany). 

The seven group winners and the best group runner-up qualify for the quarter-finals.

Nine teams are taking part in the women´s tournament, divided into three groups of three teams each in the basic phase.

The draw has revealed that South Tyrol women will face FC Oberschlesien (Germans in Poland) and Team Nordschleswig - AE Mannschaft (Germans in Denmark) in Group B. The matches will be played in Krusa, Sønderborg and Tønder (all three are in Denmark).

In the women's Group C, Les Ladines will play against Serbske Mustwo (Sorbians from Lusatia) and Sydslesvig (Danes in Germany). The venues are Schleswig, Harrislee and Flensburg Stjernen (all three are in Germany). 

The top teams from the three groups and the best of the seconds qualify for the semi-finals.
